But this time the chaos leads to tragedy when a tiger eats its trainer, the beautiful Kitty Walker. Suspecting this is more than a tragic accident, Murdoch (Yannick Bisson) hauls the whole colourful lot into the precinct: including the arrogant Leoline (Michael Boisvert) the lion-faced man, the slick and handsome Jake the Magician (Evan Williams), the gorgeous but scarred Ivy (Ashley Leggat), various other freaks and frauds and Athena, a spider monkey with a secret who wins over the usually hard-nosed Brackenreid (Thomas Craig). When Ogden (Helene Joy) confirms his suspicion that Kitty's death was no accident, Murdoch zeroes in on an apparent love triangle amongst the various performers and learns that there are big differences between the freaks and the frauds.</desc>
